“Anshuman Jha’s ‘Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business’ Set to Roar in Theatres This Diwali 2026”

The action-packed sequel Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business, starring Anshuman Jha, is set to hit theatres this Diwali 2026, the makers announced. Directed by Sanjay Shetty, the film also features Riddhi Dogra, Eksha Kerung, and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles.

The film centers on the Celebes crested macaque, a rare primate from Indonesia, also known as the North Sulawesi ‘Yaki Monkey’, highlighting the story’s wildlife conservation angle.

The production team unveiled the teaser poster on Anshuman Jha’s birthday via Instagram, captioning it: “On his birthday, the fight continues! A bigger hunt. A wilder jungle. And a mission to protect the voiceless. In Cinemas Diwali 2026.”

Jha described the sequel as “deeply personal”: “Lord Hanuman has inspired me since I was a kid — he represents strength, loyalty, courage, and service. This film is not just a sequel; it’s a cinematic prayer to Lord Hanuman, a tribute to the extraordinary animals sharing our planet, and a story about respecting nature.”

The first Lakadbaggha film (2023) introduced Arjun, a martial arts master who moonlights as a savior of animals, combining vigilante action with a heartfelt conservation message. The sequel promises bigger stunts, wilder jungle sequences, and an even stronger message about humanity’s bond with nature.

With Diwali 2026 marking its release, fans can expect high-octane action, martial arts spectacle, and a meaningful wildlife story as Anshuman Jha returns to defend both humans and animals on the big screen.
