Indian BTS fans received a special treat as the global K-pop sensation greeted them with a heartfelt “Hello India” in a short video released via Netflix India on Saturday. The message comes ahead of the group’s highly anticipated comeback album, Arirang, set to release on March 20, 2026.
All seven members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook — appeared in the video, inviting Indian ARMYs to join their special live concert from Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul, streaming on Netflix on March 21. Fans flooded social media with excitement, calling the video “the perfect midnight gift” and sharing their joy at the direct greeting from the band.
Arirang, named after Korea’s most iconic folk song, is BTS’s first release since their 2022 anthology album, Proof. The album features 14 tracks, including Body to Body, Hooligan, Aliens, FYA, 2.0, No. 29, and the lead single SWIM, alongside songs like Merry Go Round, NORMAL, Like Animals, One More Night, Please, and Into the Sun.
The album’s title pays homage to the centuries-old Korean folk song Arirang, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage in both South and North Korea. The song captures the Korean concept of han — a complex emotion of sorrow, longing, resilience, and hope — and has served as a cultural touchstone across generations.
