Daisy Shah Says She’s Happy Single at 41: “I Don’t Need Marriage to Build a Family”

Daisy Shah is clear about her priorities. At 41, the actress says she is content being single and does not see marriage as a necessity in her life.

Daisy, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in Jai Ho, recently opened up about relationships, independence, and motherhood in a candid conversation with Filmygyan.

“I Cannot Become the Mother of a Grown Man”

Speaking honestly about what she expects in a relationship, Daisy said financial stability and maturity matter just as much as emotional connection.

“It’s not about money because I earn well enough for myself. I just cannot become the mother of a grown man. I have my own money, but you should also be earning at a certain level. Sweet talk feels good in the beginning, but not later,” she shared.

She added that frequent reports of celebrity breakups have also made her cautious about long-term commitments. According to her, watching relationships fall apart regularly can feel unsettling.

“Marriage Is Not Necessary to Build a Family”

Daisy also revealed that some men in her life assumed she was ready for marriage — something she never indicated.

“I don’t have any alternative thoughts about marriage. I’ve left everything to God. I don’t think you need to get married to build a family,” she said.

In a significant disclosure, the actress shared that she has frozen her eggs, giving herself the option to embrace motherhood on her own terms.

“I’ve frozen my eggs, so I can become a mother whenever I want. I can have my own child,” she stated, reinforcing her belief in independence and choice.

“I’ve Got Everything I Asked For”

Reflecting on her personal journey, Daisy said she feels fulfilled and grateful.

“I’ve got whatever I wanted in life. I dreamed of owning a house and I got it. I wanted to give my family a good life — that happened too. I wanted two dogs. I had one, now I have two. So I’m happy,” she said.

While she has previously been linked to choreographer Ganesh Acharya and reality TV personality Shiv Thakare, Daisy has consistently denied dating rumours. In earlier interviews, she acknowledged experiencing toxic relationships in the past, including one where a former partner allegedly restricted her professional choices.

At a time when conversations around marriage and motherhood are evolving, Daisy Shah’s remarks highlight a growing sentiment — that fulfillment, stability, and family can take many forms, with or without marriage.
