Yuvika Chaudhary Says Leaving Daughter Behind for ‘The 50’ Is an Everyday Emotional Test

After stepping into motherhood, Yuvika Chaudhary has returned to reality television with The 50, a high-intensity, task-driven competition show. In a recent interaction with media ahead of the show, the actor shared that her decision to participate was motivated more by the format’s concept than personal ambition.

Calling it a short-format show with meaningful rewards, Yuvika explained that the prize money has the potential to transform someone’s life. She noted that after years of receiving love from fans, she felt this was a way to give something back.

Yuvika has entered the show alongside her husband, Prince Narula. However, the couple admitted that deciding to participate was not easy, especially because it meant temporarily staying away from their young daughter.

According to the actor, her parents are currently caring for their child, and Prince’s parents are expected to join soon. She shared that they spent considerable time debating whether one of them should participate instead of both. Eventually, they agreed it was an opportunity worth taking.

While confident their daughter will enjoy time with her grandparents, Yuvika acknowledged that the separation would be emotionally challenging. She added that they are competing with their daughter in mind.

The couple’s participation also marks a full-circle moment. Yuvika and Prince first met on a reality show years ago, and now they are returning to the format as parents. She described it as feeling like the second half of a screenplay unfolding in real life.

Despite her previous experience in the genre, Yuvika said The 50 is on a different scale. She remarked lightheartedly that as people grow older, their tolerance levels change, and navigating different personalities can be testing.

The actor made it clear that she is entering the show without strategies or alliances. She understands that being a couple may make them immediate targets, but said they are prepared for the pressure.

“There is no planning or plotting, but I do want to reach the top,” she shared, adding that the show is physically demanding, with daily tasks and a high-pressure environment.

Beyond reality television, Yuvika confirmed she will soon return to fiction projects as well. She described her break after motherhood as necessary, explaining that becoming a mother brought significant physical and emotional changes, all while being under public scrutiny.

She reflected that rebuilding oneself after childbirth takes time. Rather than focusing solely on fitness, her priority was emotional well-being and finding comfort within herself. She credited her family’s support for helping her navigate that phase.

When asked whether her daughter would watch The 50, Yuvika smiled and said there is currently no screen time allowed. However, she admitted that if the child misses them too much, the family may allow her a brief glimpse.
