New Delhi: Actor and politician Kangana Ranaut has reacted strongly to the recently released Jeffrey Epstein files, saying the revelations left her “shaken” and deeply disturbed.
The US Department of Justice has made public a large batch of investigative material linked to late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The release reportedly includes more than three million pages of records, along with over 2,000 videos and approximately 180,000 images.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday evening, Kangana shared her reaction to the disclosures, saying the details profoundly altered the way she views power, fame, and society.
“So disturbing to see and read about Epstein Files. Crimes happen everywhere but what they are indulging in seems as if it is some high society fashion/cultural practice, seems more like some evil/satanic monstrous religion,” she wrote. She further questioned how influential figures across industries could remain silent in the face of alleged harm to young women and children.

In subsequent posts, Kangana described feeling pessimistic about humanity’s future after reading the reports. She linked her reaction to her belief in Indian culture and spiritual traditions, stating that they offer answers to moral questions the world continues to grapple with.
“It makes me deeply sad and hopelessly pessimistic about the future and the true essence of humanity,” she wrote. “It makes me even more certain that Bharat’s culture, values, and what is everlasting — Sanatan — is the answer the world is seeking.”
She concluded by referencing mythological themes of good and evil, writing that ancient stories of gods and demons remain relevant even today, and ended her note with the hashtag #HareKrishna.

On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Emergency, where she portrayed former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film, which she also directed, wrote, and produced, was released in theatres on January 17, 2025.
