A disturbing video of actress Nidhhi Agerwal being pushed and overwhelmed by a massive crowd at a public event in Hyderabad has gone viral, igniting widespread criticism and renewed concerns about celebrity safety and civic sense.
The incident occurred at Lulu Mall, Hyderabad, during the promotional event for the upcoming Telugu film The Raja Saab. Nidhhi had arrived at the venue for the launch of the film’s song “Sahana Sahana”, but the situation quickly spiralled out of control.

Police Take Suo Motu Action
Following the public backlash, the Kukatpally Housing Board (KPHB) police took suo motu cognisance of the incident. A case has been registered against both the Lulu Mall management and the event organisers.
KPHB Inspector S. Rajashekar Reddy confirmed that the organisers failed to obtain prior police permission for the event.
“A case has been filed against the mall management and the event organisers for holding the programme without permission,” he said, adding that investigations are underway to identify lapses in security planning and crowd management.
Security Lapses and Event Delays
According to police sources, the song launch was scheduled to begin at 5 PM, but delays led to a large crowd gathering inside the mall well in advance. Authorities stated that inviting high-profile celebrities without adequate security arrangements and official approvals violated standard safety protocols and significantly increased risk.
Apart from Nidhhi Agerwal, the event was attended by Prabhas, Riddhi Kumar, director Maruthi, producer T.G. Vishwa Prasad, and music director Thaman. However, it was Nidhhi who bore the brunt of the crowd chaos.
