Bengaluru Couple Found Dead in Rented Home, Police Launch Investigation

Bengaluru: Police have launched an investigation after a couple was found dead inside their rented residence in the Channamanakere Achhukattu area of south Bengaluru on Thursday.

According to police officials, the incident came to light after the property owner contacted authorities when repeated attempts to reach the couple went unanswered following reports of a loud argument from the residence.

The deceased were identified as Manoj Kumar (30) and his wife Swapna, who was pregnant.

House Owner Alerted Police

Investigators said the couple lived on the first floor of a rented house. The property owner reportedly heard a heated argument from the residence earlier in the day.

When there was no further response from the occupants, the owner contacted Channamanakere Achhukattu police and requested assistance.

Police personnel arrived at the location and entered the house after receiving no response from inside.

Investigation Underway

Officers found the two individuals deceased inside the residence and initiated a detailed investigation.

Police said no suicide note was immediately recovered from the scene.

Investigators are examining available evidence, including mobile phone records and digital communications, to determine the sequence of events and establish a possible motive.

Authorities have stated that inquiries remain ongoing and that conclusions will be drawn only after forensic examination and the completion of the investigation.

Couple Had Moved to Bengaluru Several Years Ago

Preliminary information suggests the couple originally hailed from Uttar Pradesh and had been living in Bengaluru for several years.

They reportedly moved into the rented accommodation last year.

Police are also speaking with relatives, neighbours and acquaintances as part of the investigation.

Separate Incident: Youth Dies After Alleged Assault

In another incident reported in Bengaluru, a 20-year-old housekeeping employee died following an alleged assault near the HAL area on Wednesday night.

According to police, the victim, identified as Gajendra, lived in a rented room with relatives Narendra and Govinda.

Investigators said an argument reportedly broke out following a volleyball game, after which the dispute allegedly continued at their residence.

Police said Gajendra sustained serious injuries during the altercation and was later taken to a hospital, where he succumbed.

The accused individuals are currently absconding, and efforts are underway to trace them.

Police Continue Probe

Both incidents remain under investigation, with police gathering witness statements and forensic evidence to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Authorities have urged the public to avoid speculation and allow the investigation process to proceed based on verified evidence and official findings.
