MBBS 2025: NMC Approves 3 Medical Colleges in Andhra Pradesh, NTRUHS Announces Phase-II Web Options Schedule

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved the establishment of a new medical college and enhancement of MBBS seats in two existing colleges across Andhra Pradesh. Following this approval, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) has released an official notification regarding Phase-II web options for MBBS admissions under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2025-26.

The new permissions aim to expand the availability of medical education seats in the state, bringing relief to thousands of MBBS aspirants.

New Colleges and Seat Enhancements

As per the notification, the following updates have been made:

Total additional MBBS seats approved: 180

Anna Gowri Medical College & Hospital, located in Parameshwaramangalam, Puttur Mandal, Tirupati District, is a newly established private unaided non-minority college, permitted after Phase-I counselling.

Phase-II Counselling: Key Dates

The web option process for Phase-II will begin at 3:00 PM on September 26, 2025, and continue until 6:00 PM on September 28, 2025.

Seat Availability Under Phase-II Counselling

University Fee Payment

• Candidates must pay a university fee of ₹10,600 via the online payment gateway to download the provisional allotment order.

Important Guidelines for Phase-II Candidates

1. Fresh Allotment Candidates

• Report to the allotted college within the specified reporting schedule.
• Submit original certificates and pay the tuition fee to complete admission.
• Failure to report will lead to forfeiture of admission and ineligibility for future counselling rounds.

2. Ineligible Candidates

The following candidates cannot participate in Phase-II:

• Those who availed the Free Exit facility after Phase-I.
• Candidates who did not report under Phase-I and did not exercise options for the new college.
• Candidates who retained seats from Phase-I and did not opt for the new college under this notification.
• Those who failed to exercise complete web options earlier.

Special Instructions for Different Candidate Categories

A. Phase-I Non-Reported Candidates

• Can only opt for the new college (Anna Gowri Medical College) by providing their willingness through login ID.
• Cannot claim previously allotted seats.

B. Candidates Without One-Time Web Options

• Candidates who missed web options earlier can now exercise one-time web options for all colleges:
  • Male Candidates: 35 options
  • Female Candidates: 36 options
• Failure to include all options will lead to disqualification for Phase-II and later rounds.

C. Candidates Without Seat Allotment in Phase-I

• Can rearrange the new college as a preferred option using drag-and-drop without changing the original sequence of options.
• If uninterested, they may ignore the rearrangement — the system will automatically treat the new college as the last preference.
