New Delhi, July 2026: Contemporary jewellery label Ashavri has officially entered the Indian market, bringing a collection that blends modern aesthetics with cultural symbolism, sustainable practices and handcrafted artistry. Founded by designer Shruthi Krishnaswamy, the brand positions itself as a creator of wearable art rather than conventional fashion jewellery.
After launching in the United States last year, Ashavri’s arrival in India represents a significant milestone for the brand. For Shruthi, however, the move is deeply personal.
“Coming to India doesn’t feel like an expansion. It feels like a homecoming,” she said, emphasizing that the inspiration, craftsmanship and creative foundation of the brand have always been rooted in India.

Jewellery Inspired by Timeless Symbols
The brand takes its name from the Hindustani classical raga Asavari and draws influence from art, music and design traditions. Ashavri’s collections incorporate symbolic elements such as the sun, lotus and sacred geometry, translating them into contemporary designs suited for everyday wear.

Signature pieces reinterpret traditional symbols through a modern lens, allowing wearers to connect with deeper meanings while embracing minimalist fashion.
According to Shruthi, each motif carries a story.
The sun symbolizes energy, vitality and optimism, while the lotus represents growth, resilience and transformation. Sacred geometry, meanwhile, reflects patterns that have appeared across cultures and centuries, offering a connection between heritage and modern design.
Rather than reproducing traditional motifs literally, the collection seeks to capture their essence in forms that feel relevant to today’s consumers.

Wearable Art with Everyday Versatility
Ashavri’s design philosophy centers on versatility. Pieces are intentionally created to be layered, mixed and matched, allowing individuals to build looks that reflect different moods and occasions.

Pearl accents, geometric structures and lightweight construction contribute to a refined aesthetic that appeals to modern jewellery buyers seeking both style and meaning.
Industry observers note that consumers are increasingly gravitating toward products that offer personal significance alongside visual appeal. Ashavri’s emphasis on storytelling aligns with this broader shift toward conscious and purpose-driven fashion.
Sustainability Beyond Materials
Sustainability plays a central role in the brand’s identity. Ashavri partners with a women-led manufacturing team in Jaipur, supporting local craftsmanship and ethical production practices.

Packaging materials are produced through a rural livelihood initiative that supports women in Thiruvannamalai, creating additional economic opportunities while reducing reliance on conventional packaging systems.
For Shruthi, sustainability is not limited to sourcing or production methods.
She believes that creating jewellery with lasting relevance is equally important. By designing timeless pieces that customers can wear for years rather than seasons, the brand aims to encourage more mindful consumption patterns.

Netra Collection Set for Diwali Launch
Looking ahead, Ashavri is preparing to introduce its next collection, Netra, ahead of the festive Diwali season.
The upcoming line will feature enamel detailing inspired by the peacock feather and the symbolism of the evil eye, themes associated with beauty, protection and positive energy across multiple cultural traditions.
The collection is expected to continue Ashavri’s approach of combining heritage-inspired storytelling with contemporary design language.
Growing Demand for Meaningful Luxury
Ashavri enters the Indian market at a time when consumers are increasingly seeking products that combine craftsmanship, sustainability and personal expression. The rise of conscious luxury has created opportunities for brands that can offer authenticity alongside design innovation.
With its focus on symbolism, ethical production and versatile styling, Ashavri aims to carve a niche among buyers looking for jewellery that serves as both an accessory and a personal statement.
The collection is currently available online, with prices starting from ₹1,750.
