The actress, known for films like Mohabbatein and reality shows including Bigg Boss 15, shared screenshots of the comments on her Instagram Stories and criticised the troll for what she described as “patriarchal” thinking.

Troll’s Comment Sparks Reaction

One of the comments shared by Shamita read:

“Aapki age ho gayi hai pehle wali baat nahi rahi.”
(You have grown old now; you are not the same as before.)

Responding to the remark, Shamita acknowledged that ageing is a natural part of life and said physical appearances change over time.

The actress wrote that she remains healthy, happy and grateful for everything life has given her, adding that those things matter more than external appearance.

Shamita Responds to Marriage Remark

Another comment that drew a stronger reaction from the actress questioned why she had not married earlier.

The user wrote:

“Agar shaadi time par kar leti toh aapke bache aaj bade ho gaye hote.”
(If you had married on time, your children would have grown up by now.)

Shamita responded sharply, asking:

“Aapne shaadi karke kya ukhaad liya hai bhai?”
(What exactly have you achieved by getting married?)

She further criticised the mindset behind such remarks and questioned why some people continue to follow single women online only to age-shame them.

In her Instagram Story, Shamita also urged the user to unfollow her account.
