Pallavi admitted that entering the Hindi entertainment industry as someone from a South Indian background was not easy, especially due to language barriers.
To overcome the challenge, she hired a Hindi tutor and practised reading Hindi newspapers aloud regularly.
According to the actress, the effort helped her quickly improve her language skills and eventually secure opportunities in Hindi television.
Learning Bharatanatyam for a Film Role
The actress also shared some of the physically and emotionally demanding experiences she faced while working in films.
One such experience involved filming a drowning scene in a real lake for the Malayalam film Silence, despite not knowing how to swim.
However, one of her biggest challenges came during the Kannada film Manasmita, where she had to portray a classical dancer convincingly.
To prepare for the role, Pallavi began formal Bharatanatyam training under Guru Smt. Manasi Nair.
What started as role preparation gradually became a long-term commitment to classical dance.
The actress revealed that she has now completed seven years of diploma training in Bharatanatyam and continues learning the art form even today.
Continuing Her Creative Journey
Over the years, Pallavi Purohit has built a diverse career across television and regional cinema while continuously exploring new skills and artistic disciplines.
