Yami Gautam is bringing an unexpected twist to her latest dance number. The actress is seen sharing the dance floor with zombies in Phata Patakha, the second song from her upcoming fantasy family film Nayyi Navelli.
The unusual combination of a festive dance track and supernatural characters has become one of the talking points surrounding the newly released song, offering a glimpse into the film’s quirky fantasy world.
Yami Gautam dances with zombies in Phata Patakha
In Phata Patakha, Yami Gautam’s character finds herself surrounded by some rather unusual dance partners. Instead of a conventional Bollywood ensemble, the song brings zombies into the choreography, matching the supernatural elements that form part of Nayyi Navelli.
Yami’s performance combines energetic dance moves with the colourful, playful tone of the track. The contrast between the actress and her mythical co-performers gives the song a distinctive visual identity.
The result is a dance sequence that introduces the film’s fantastical world without losing the celebratory energy expected from a Hindi film song.
What is Nayyi Navelli about?
Directed by Balaji Mohan and produced by Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma, Nayyi Navelli follows a newly married woman, played by Yami Gautam, whose life becomes connected to an unusual mystery.
What begins as a family-oriented story gradually expands into a world involving comedy, mystery, supernatural elements and adventure.
The appearance of zombies in Phata Patakha therefore gives audiences another indication of the film’s unconventional blend of genres.
G V Prakash Kumar on the unusual song
Phata Patakha has been composed and produced by G. V. Prakash Kumar, with lyrics by Vayu and vocals by Madhubanti Bagchi. The song has been choreographed by Vijay Ganguly.
Speaking about the track, G. V. Prakash Kumar highlighted the opportunity to experiment with an unusual musical sound while retaining the eccentric quality of Nayyi Navelli.
