Julianne Moore enjoyed a rare public appearance with her daughter Liv Freundlich as the mother-daughter duo attended a glamorous jewellery event during Paris Fashion Week.
The Oscar-winning actress, 65, and Liv, 24, posed together at Messika’s Haute Joaillerie event at the Grand Palais on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Both wore pieces from the French jewellery house as they smiled for photographers in the French capital.
Julianne Moore Makes a Statement in Messika Diamonds
Julianne opted for an understated cream-toned dress that allowed her jewellery to take centre stage.
The long-sleeved design featured a softly textured finish and a simple round neckline. She paired the elegant dress with dramatic diamond ear cuffs, a statement ring and a striking necklace.
The Still Alice actress wore Messika’s Divine Enigma necklace, an 18-karat white gold creation featuring 13.20 carats of pavé diamonds and a detachable oval-cut diamond pendant.
Julianne has served as an ambassador for Messika since March, making her latest appearance another high-profile outing for the jewellery brand.
Her long hair was styled in loose waves, complementing the minimalist elegance of her cream ensemble.
Liv Freundlich Chooses a Contrasting Black Look
Liv created a sharp contrast beside her mother in a black sleeveless minidress.
Her outfit featured a knotted, draped detail around the hip, with long fabric panels extending below the knee. She completed the look with pointed black pumps and understated diamond jewellery from Messika.
Among her accessories was the brand’s Move Uno choker.
Like Julianne, Liv wore her long hair loose in soft waves. The pair’s contrasting cream-and-black outfits gave their appearance a coordinated yet individual feel as they posed side by side.
Julianne Moore and Liv’s Close Family Bond
Liv is the younger of Julianne Moore and filmmaker Bart Freundlich’s two children.
The couple also have a son, Caleb, 28. Julianne and Bart have been together since the 1990s and married in New York in 2003.
Julianne has previously discussed the longevity of their relationship, pointing to friendship and enjoying everyday life together as important parts of their marriage.
“I think you have to enjoy being together,” she told People when asked about her relationship with her husband. “And I think that building a life together is a big thing.”
Liv Freundlich Has Her Own Fashion Connection
Although Liv has generally maintained a lower public profile than her mother, she has had an association with fashion from a young age.
She modelled for J.Crew as a teenager and has accompanied Julianne to fashion events on several occasions. Earlier this year, the pair also attended another Messika event in Miami.
Liv has also appeared on screen. As a child, she had a role in the 2005 film Trust the Man, which starred Julianne and was written and directed by Bart Freundlich.
Her latest appearance in Paris once again placed her alongside her famous mother as the two attended one of the city’s high-profile fashion week events.
