She recalled that many of the people visible around the location were actual patients at the hospital.

The actor also described the practical arrangement used to create the appearance of her character having lost her leg. A space was made beneath the hospital bed so that the crew could position a green mat and complete the required makeup and filming.

But the setup came with a significant physical limitation for Anjali.

Her leg remained tied for hours

Anjali said her leg had to remain tied in a bent position throughout much of the shoot. Because the scene was being filmed inside a functioning government hospital, she could not simply move around or take the kind of breaks she might have had on a controlled film set.

She recalled remaining in that position from morning until evening.

The actor said she could not properly get down from the bed or change her position while the sequence was being filmed. The prolonged physical discomfort became part of an already emotionally difficult scene.

Anjali admitted that she still does not know whether the physical hardship directly contributed to what audiences eventually saw on screen. However, she described the performance as something that eventually moved beyond her conscious control.

‘I started crying’ after the camera stopped
