Actor Rupali Ganguly has shared her excitement for Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, ahead of its March 19 theatrical release.
Best known for her role in Anupamaa, Rupali revealed that she recently watched select scenes from the upcoming sequel and was deeply impressed by its visuals and cinematic scale.
“I Can’t Wait For The Second Part”
Speaking to NDTV, Rupali expressed her admiration for the Dhurandhar franchise and her anticipation for the sequel.
“I watched Dhurandhar twice in theatre. What a film. I can’t wait for the second part to come out,” she said.
She further shared that she had a glimpse of the sequel during a video call with her brother, choreographer Vijay Ganguly, who is associated with the film.
“Yesterday I saw bits and pieces from the second part. Vijay was editing something, and we were doing a video call. He said, ‘See this shot, see this shot.’ Oh, what a shot it was. I asked him to rewind and show it to me again. Every frame is amazing,” she added.
Her praise reflects both her admiration as a viewer and her pride in her brother’s involvement in the project.
Star-Studded Sequel With High Expectations
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues the story of the original blockbuster.
The film features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.
Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the sequel is set for a multi-language release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, aiming for a pan-India audience.
Trailer Launch And Box Office Clash
According to reports, the trailer is expected to be unveiled after Holi on March 5, with a grand launch event reportedly planned at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai.
At the box office, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is set to clash with Yash’s Toxic, intensifying competition ahead of release.
The first Dhurandhar emerged as a major commercial success, reportedly collecting over Rs 837 crore in India and Rs 1,304 crore worldwide. With such numbers backing the franchise, expectations for the sequel remain exceptionally high.
