Rajkummar Rao and Pratibha Ranta are reportedly set to share the screen for the first time in Dharma Productions’ upcoming fantasy horror film Vishkanya, with filming expected to begin later this year.
Dharma Productions is reportedly expanding further into the fantasy and horror space with Vishkanya, an upcoming film said to feature Rajkummar Rao and Pratibha Ranta in the lead roles.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the two actors have been paired together for the first time, with Pratibha set to play the titular character. The film is reportedly being developed as a fantasy horror story built around a mythological-inspired universe and supernatural elements.
The project is expected to arrive in 2027, while production is reportedly scheduled to begin later this year.

Dharma Productions Expands Its Fantasy and Genre Slate
Vishkanya reportedly joins a growing slate of genre-focused projects from Dharma Productions.
The studio already has Kartik Aaryan’s Naagzilla in development, a creature-comedy project that is expected to release in 2027. Dharma is also backing Odiyan: The Age of Illusion, starring Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, according to the supplied report.
Other projects in the production house’s upcoming lineup include Lag Ja Gale, featuring Tiger Shroff, Lakshya and Janhvi Kapoor. The action film is being directed by Raj Mehta.
Dharma also has an unnamed psychological romance starring Lakshya and Vedika Pinto, while projects centred on R&AW founder R. N. Kao and the mythological romance of Radha and Krishna have previously been reported or announced as being in development.

Vishkanya is reportedly targeting a 2027 theatrical release, with filming expected to commence later in 2026.
