As the countdown begins for the premiere of Aryan Khan’s highly anticipated directorial debut, Netflix’s The Bads Of Bollywood***, actress Anya Singh has amped up the excitement with a bold promise to fans: “Expect the absolute unexpected.”
In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Anya opened up about her reaction to the final cut of the series, revealing that the show delivers something unprecedented for the Indian streaming space.
“When you read something on paper, it often doesn’t translate in the same manner. But when we all sat together and watched the show, I was blown away,” she said.
“I have never seen something like this before on Indian streaming. It’s a joy ride — really fun, full of surprises, laughter, and moments that will completely shock the audience.”
Inside The Bads Of Bollywood***
The series follows Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya), a small-town dreamer chasing Bollywood stardom. Backed by his sharp-tongued manager Sanya (Anya Singh), loyal best friend Parvaiz (Raghav Juyal), and his supportive family — Avtar (Manoj Pahwa), Neeta Singh (Mona Singh), and Rajat Singh (Vijayant Kohli) — Aasmaan’s rise seems unstoppable.
However, fame comes with a cost. His biggest challenge appears when he is cast opposite Bollywood superstar Ajay Talvar’s (Bobby Deol) daughter Karishma (Sahher Bambba).
Throw in cunning producer Freddy Sodawallah (Manish Chaudhari) and struggling yesteryear actor Jaraj Saxena (Rajat Bedi), and the stage is set for a gritty, glamorous, and cutthroat tale.
