Huma Qureshi Reacts to Wedding Rumours: “Marriage Will Happen When the Time Is Right”

Actor Huma Qureshi has addressed ongoing speculation about her personal life, saying she is in no rush to get married despite recent rumours linking her to actor and acting coach Rachit Singh. The actress, who recently made her debut as a film producer with Baby Do Die Do, says her current priority is work, not wedding plans.

Speaking candidly during a recent interaction, Huma laughed off the rumours, revealing that even her mother frequently asks the same question.

“You and my mum have the same questions! I don’t know when the wedding will happen. Marriage will happen when the time is right. Right now, I have a lot of work and this is a very busy year,” she said.

Huma Qureshi Focused on Her Production Journey

Beyond acting, Huma recently stepped into film production alongside her brother, actor Saqib Saleem. Their banner, Saleem Siblings, aims to develop original stories with practical budgets while giving creative voices an opportunity to shine.

Describing production as both challenging and rewarding, Huma said the experience gave her a deeper appreciation for filmmaking.

According to the actress, producing a film means taking responsibility for every aspect of the project—from budgeting and scheduling to managing people and solving unexpected challenges behind the scenes.

Huma explained that producing films was a natural step after years of working as an actor.

She believes actors often depend on opportunities created by others, while producing allows them to create those opportunities themselves.

The actress added that not every meaningful story requires a massive budget.

She also expressed happiness that Baby Do Die Do continues to attract audiences weeks after its theatrical release.

She described the city as home, recalling surprise encounters with former neighbours and college friends during promotional visits.

The actress also reflected on her family’s journey—from her father’s long-running restaurant business in Delhi to both siblings establishing themselves as actors and now producers.

Without commenting on politics directly, she said she believes in speaking up for humanity whenever necessary but also feels that celebrities should not be expected to comment on every issue immediately.
