Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth has officially confirmed that he will reunite with Kamal Haasan for a landmark project produced by Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) and Red Giant Movies. This collaboration marks the two legends sharing screen space after 46 years, creating massive excitement among fans and the film industry.
The announcement comes just a week after Kamal Haasan hinted at the project during the NEXA SIIMA Awards 2025, where he revealed that he and Rajinikanth were planning to come together again for a film.
Rajinikanth Shares Project Update
Speaking to reporters at Chennai airport on September 17, 2025, Rajinikanth said the film is currently in the planning stage, with the director yet to be finalized.
“My next movie will be with RKFI and Red Giant. The director hasn’t been fixed yet. Kamal and I both wish to act together again,” Rajinikanth said.
“The film will move forward once we find the right script. We are working towards it and hope to lock a good story soon,” he added.

Rajinikanth is currently busy shooting for Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, a sequel to the 2023 hit Jailer.
