Hanuman Ansh has emerged as a major success story for its makers, with the devotional drama drawing attention from audiences as well as several Bollywood personalities. The film, directed by Dr Vishal Chaturvedi and based on the life of spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba, has also received appreciation from celebrities including Aditya Dhar, Varun Dhawan and Kangana Ranaut.
For co-producer Anupriya Nagar, the response from within the Hindi film industry carries particular significance.
Anupriya Nagar on Bollywood’s Support for Hanuman Ansh
Speaking exclusively to Zoom, Anupriya said she was initially grateful for the response the film received beyond the industry. Seeing established names from Bollywood acknowledge the project, however, has been especially meaningful for her as a newcomer.

“For a young individual first time in the industry, I always looked up to the industry because I myself have been a huge movie buff. I have admired their work and their craft. And for them to comment on something that we have created, means a lot,” she added.
‘They Are Removing Shoes and Watching the Film’
While industry appreciation has made Anupriya happy, she said the response from devotees has been equally important to the team.
According to the producer, many viewers already had a personal connection with Neem Karoli Baba, with some having spent time with the spiritual guru. She said the film has also attracted audiences from different backgrounds.
“Some of them have actually spent time with Maharaj ji. I am seeing that people from different ethnicities are actually coming and watching the film,” she said.

“But watching the film is one thing. Respecting it is another thing. They are respecting it. They are removing shoes and watching the film,” she told HF.
