Actor, filmmaker and producer Farhan Akhtar has responded to recent reports suggesting that he exited the upcoming sports drama Lalkaara. Addressing the speculation for the first time, Farhan clarified that he was never officially signed as an actor for the project, making reports of his “exit” inaccurate.
The clarification comes after media reports linked actor Sidhant Gupta to a role that had previously been associated with Farhan.

Speaking during an interaction with Variety India, Farhan dismissed the reports with a straightforward response.
“How do I exit a project when I had never even entered it officially?”
He explained that actors regularly receive scripts and offers, but not every discussion leads to a signed agreement.
