Nikita admitted that returning without the Miss World crown was not the part of the experience she had expected to be most difficult.

“I thought the hardest part would be coming home without the crown. I was wrong,” she wrote.

She explained that she needed several days before putting her feelings into words because she was still processing everything the competition had given her.

At the Miss World 2026 finale, India made it into the Top 40, but did not secure a place in the Top 20.

In her message, Nikita thanked the Miss India Organisation for giving her the opportunity to represent the country.

“For those weeks, my name almost disappeared. Every time someone called out ‘India’, something inside me stood taller,” she wrote.
