Aditi Sharma Files Domestic Violence Complaint Against Husband and In-Laws; Mumbai Police Register FIR

Television actor Aditi Sharma, best known for her performances in Kaleerein, Rabb Se Hai Dua, and Apollena – Sapno Ki Unchi Udaan, has filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband, Abhineet Vidyanand Kaushik, and two members of his family.

Based on her complaint, Mumbai Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) at Goregaon Police Station on July 31 against Abhineet Vidyanand Kaushik, his mother Urmila Kaushik, and his sister Kirti Kaushik.

The case is under investigation. The allegations remain unproven, and no court has issued findings on the matter.

According to the complaint, Aditi Sharma has accused her husband and his family of:

Their friendship later developed into a relationship, and the couple reportedly began living together in September 2024 before marrying on November 12, 2024, with the consent of both families.

The marriage was reportedly held in a private ceremony at their residence in Goregaon.

Allegations of Changing Behaviour After Marriage

In the complaint, Aditi Sharma alleged that her husband’s behaviour changed within days of their wedding.

She claimed that disagreements initially arose over everyday matters, including her clothing choices, before escalating into more serious disputes.

The FIR further alleges that:

• Her husband frequently took money from her instead of contributing to household expenses.
• An argument on January 1, 2025, allegedly escalated into abusive behaviour.
• He allegedly questioned her character and accused her of having an affair.
• He allegedly checked her mobile phone regularly.
• He allegedly began sleeping in a separate room.
• She was allegedly discouraged from communicating with her parents.

These allegations are part of the complaint and have not been tested before a court.

Jewellery and Stridhan Claims

Aditi Sharma has also alleged that her mother-in-law retained her bridal jewellery, including:

• Gold chains
• Rings
• Diamond ring
• Mangalsutra
• Bangles

According to the complaint, the jewellery was not returned despite repeated requests.

She has further alleged that both her mother-in-law and sister-in-law supported her husband during disputes instead of helping resolve the situation.

Police Investigation Underway

Following the registration of the FIR, Goregaon Police have initiated an investigation into the allegations.
