Nayan Sarika Reveals Allu Arjun and Jr NTR’s Praise for Her ‘Aay’ Performance: “They Appreciated My Portrayal”

Nayan Sarika has opened up about the appreciation she received from Jr NTR and Allu Arjun for her performance as Pallavi in ‘Aay’, recalling the preparation that helped her deliver an authentic Godavari-region character.

Actress Nayan Sarika made a strong impression on Telugu audiences with her performance in Aay. Her portrayal of Pallavi was convincing enough to make viewers believe that she was a girl from the Godavari region of Andhra Pradesh, despite the actress not being from the Telugu-speaking background.

The response to her performance also extended beyond the audience. Nayan Sarika has revealed that she received appreciation from two of Telugu cinema’s biggest stars, Jr NTR and Allu Arjun, following the film’s success.

Nayan Sarika recalls Jr NTR’s appreciation

Speaking about the compliments she received, Nayan Sarika said that Jr NTR appreciated the effortless manner in which she portrayed her character.

For the actress, recognition from an established performer such as NTR was a memorable experience, particularly because Aay marked an important stage in her journey in Telugu cinema.

Nayan also recalled her interaction involving Allu Arjun, saying that the actor was surprised when he learned that she was not of South Indian origin.

The actress’s ability to convincingly adapt to the language, mannerisms and cultural setting of her character became an important part of her performance in Aay.

Workshops helped Nayan prepare for ‘Aay’

Nayan Sarika revealed that she and her co-star Narne Nithiin underwent several workshops and rehearsals before the filming began.

The preparation was particularly useful in helping the actors understand their characters and develop the chemistry required for the story.

Nayan also underwent training in the Telugu language. Since delivering dialogues naturally was essential to her role, the actress worked on her Telugu skills before and during the production.

She credited director Anji for helping her with dialogue delivery and guiding her through the performance.
