‘Gaali Mat Do’: Poonam Pandey Supports Govinda Amid Public Spat With Sunita Ahuja

Actress Poonam Pandey has publicly expressed her support for veteran actor Govinda amid the ongoing discussion surrounding his relationship with wife Sunita Ahuja.

Speaking to the media at a public event, Poonam objected to the use of harsh language against Govinda and questioned why anyone would publicly abuse an actor of his stature. Poonam has previously worked with Govinda in Aa Gaya Hero.

Her comments come at a time when reports about alleged tensions between Govinda and Sunita have attracted considerable attention, including speculation surrounding the actor’s alleged association with actress Komal Rani Swarnkar.

Poonam Pandey Says ‘Gaali Mat Do’ to Govinda

When asked about the controversy, Poonam urged people to avoid abusive language while discussing Govinda.

She said:

“Gaali mat do yaar. Itne achche pati dev mile hai, tumko Govinda mila hai. Kya baat kar rahe ho? Pehle se nahi pata tha kya ke woh itne bade star hai?”

Translated, Poonam questioned why someone would use abusive language against a husband who is also a major star, while pointing out Govinda’s stature in the film industry.

When the actress was asked whether she was taking Govinda’s side, she gave an unequivocal response.

“I will support Govinda, sir. 100 percent support karungi. Main toh unhi ko karungi, jo gaali de raha hai, unko thodi na karungi.”

Poonam’s comments have added another celebrity voice to a controversy that has largely played out through media reports and public statements.

Poonam Responds to Komal Rani Swarnkar Controversy

The discussion also touched on remarks reportedly made by Sunita Ahuja about Komal Rani Swarnkar, following an airport appearance involving Govinda and the actress.

Sunita’s reported “sugar daddy” remark had sparked further discussion online. Asked about the episode, Poonam appeared dismissive of the suggestion that the airport appearance indicated anything improper.

She said:

“Yeh kuch bhi hai. Peeth peeche thodi na ghum rahe the; airport pe the.”

Her comments came amid continuing public speculation about Govinda’s personal life. However, allegations and speculation surrounding relationships should not be treated as established facts unless independently confirmed by the people involved.

Sunita Ahuja Spotted at Mumbai Family Court

The controversy intensified after Sunita Ahuja was spotted at a family court in Mumbai’s Bandra area with her son, Yashvardhan Ahuja.

The appearance prompted speculation on social media about the status of her marriage to Govinda, with some reports suggesting that the couple could be heading towards divorce.

However, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha subsequently said that Sunita had previously filed a divorce case but had gone to court to withdraw it.

Speaking to NDTV, Sinha expressed disappointment that the private dispute had become a matter of public discussion.

He said:

“There was no need for this to come this far as fights happen and yet things continue. But once it reaches the courts, the whole world knows. Did the world need to know? There was no need.”

Sinha also stressed that family disputes are often better handled privately.

“Family matters should stay within the family. Many things get resolved after sitting and talking things through. If the case was to be withdrawn today, why was it filed in the first place? This pains me. Why did we become a spectacle?”

His comments suggest that the matter has been more complicated than the speculation surrounding the couple’s public appearances might indicate.
