Salma Hayek Celebrates Becoming a Grandmother, Shares Sweet Moments With Grandson

Salma Hayek has entered a new chapter in her family life: grandmotherhood.

The Mexican-American actor recently shared the joyful news with her followers, introducing her grandson and offering a glimpse into the special bond she is already building with him. Hayek revealed that her stepson, François Pinault, and his wife, Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck, have welcomed their first child.

In a social media post, Hayek spoke to the newborn in Spanish while celebrating his arrival. She also revealed that the baby has been named François, following a family tradition, although she has already given him a more personal nickname.

Hayek said her grandson will be known affectionately as “Panchito” within the family.

“We are blessed to welcome the fourth living generation of Francois’. Although I will call him Panchito. He seems to love it, and I cannot love him more,” she wrote while sharing the family update.

The post quickly attracted warm reactions from fans and friends, who congratulated Hayek on becoming a grandmother.

Photos shared by her daughter-in-law also offered followers a look at the family spending time together during the baby’s first weeks. Henckel von Donnersmarck described the early days of parenthood as a particularly meaningful period for her and her husband.

A New Generation for the Pinault Family

The arrival of baby François marks another generation in the Pinault family.

Hayek is married to François-Henri Pinault, with whom she shares their daughter, Valentina. She is also a stepmother to Mathilde, François and Augustin.

The actor has previously spoken about how much family means to her and how she once hoped to have a larger number of children herself.

In a 2017 interview with Red Magazine, Hayek discussed her experience of motherhood and her blended family. She explained that although she had always imagined having many children, she felt fortunate to have a family that included her husband’s children as well.
