Actor Rajpal Yadav on Monday visited the residence of BJP leader Aparna Yadav in Lucknow to pay tribute to her late husband Prateek Yadav during his terahvi ritual.
The actor expressed deep sorrow over Prateek Yadav’s untimely demise and described the incident as extremely heartbreaking.
Speaking to ANI during the visit, Rajpal Yadav said, “What happened to Prateek Yadav is an unfortunate incident, a very heartbreaking misfortune. His passing felt tragic.”
Prateek Yadav Passed Away at 38
Prateek Yadav, son of late Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and half-brother of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, died in Lucknow on May 13 at the age of 38.

According to the postmortem conducted at King George’s Medical University (KGMU), the cause of death was identified as:
- Cardiorespiratory collapse
- Massive pulmonary thromboembolism
The medical report also mentioned that six antemortem injuries were found on his body, indicating injuries sustained before death.
Medical Examination Details
The KGMU report further stated that:
- Heart tissue samples were preserved for histopathological examination
- Pulmonary thromboembolic material was preserved in formalin
- Viscera samples were handed over for chemical analysis
Officials have not publicly commented further on the ongoing medical examination process.
