Malayalam actor Ansiba Hassan has made serious allegations against actor and mimicry artist Tiny Tom, claiming that his actions were one of the reasons behind her resignation from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).
Ansiba, who is widely known for playing Mohanlal’s daughter in the Drishyam films, spoke about the issue during a recent interview with Mathrubhumi.
According to the actor, she faced personal attacks and misinformation within the organisation, which eventually pushed her to step away from AMMA earlier this year.
Ansiba Hassan Claims Tiny Tom Called Her ‘Jihadi’
During the interview, Ansiba alleged that Tiny Tom referred to her using the term “Jihadi” and accused him of attempting to influence discussions around her religion.

Ansiba further stated that a female member of the organisation had filed what she described as a false complaint against her.
The actor said she had informed:
- AMMA Secretary Cuckoo Parameswaran
- AMMA President Shweta Menon
about the circumstances surrounding her resignation and the issues she allegedly faced.
Ansiba Says She Took a ‘Secular Stand’
Speaking about tensions within the organisation, Ansiba referred to discussions surrounding the title song for an AMMA family event.

Reacting to the controversy, Tiny Tom denied all allegations made by Ansiba Hassan.
Speaking to the media, the actor and mimicry artist said he had never directly made such comments to Ansiba and suggested she may have been misinformed by someone else.
Tiny Tom stated that:
- He has not engaged in the behaviour alleged against him
- He never called Ansiba a “Jihadi”
- He does not hold Islamophobic views
He also pointed out that he has several Muslim friends and rejected suggestions that he targeted Ansiba because of her religion.
Tiny Tom Says Legal Route Should Have Been Taken
Tiny Tom further said that if Ansiba believed an offence had occurred, she should have approached the police or pursued legal action instead of making public allegations.
The controversy has now sparked wider discussion within Malayalam cinema circles and among social media users regarding internal disputes within film organisations and the handling of sensitive allegations.
As of now, AMMA has not released an official public statement regarding the claims and counterclaims made by the two actors.
