Rubina Dilaik Opens Up on Botox Rumours and Age-Shaming Trolls

Actor Rubina Dilaik has spoken candidly about facing repeated online trolling related to her appearance, age, and rumours surrounding cosmetic procedures. In a recent interview, the television star reflected on how negative comments once affected her emotionally before she gradually learned to detach her self-worth from social media criticism.

Rubina shared that she has frequently encountered remarks questioning her looks, with online users speculating about botox, facelifts, and other cosmetic enhancements. The actor said the criticism initially triggered strong emotional reactions, especially when discussions around appearance became personal.

According to Rubina, one of the most important lessons she learned over time was understanding that she cannot control what others choose to say or think online. Instead, she shifted her focus toward managing her own response and protecting her peace of mind.

The actor explained that there was a period when trolling deeply impacted her confidence and emotions. However, she later realized that reacting intensely only gave online critics more power to influence her feelings. That understanding helped her gradually become less affected by negativity on social media platforms.

Rubina also addressed the increasing pressure surrounding beauty standards, particularly the growing normalization of cosmetic enhancements and uniform facial aesthetics. She expressed concern about the idea that everyone is expected to fit a single definition of beauty shaped by trends on social media.

Speaking about individuality, the actor emphasized that every person has unique features and qualities that should be appreciated rather than altered to match unrealistic standards. She described individuality as a personal strength and encouraged people to embrace the characteristics that make them different.

Beyond her reflections on trolling, Rubina continues to remain active professionally. After recently winning the reality series Pati Patni Aur Panga alongside husband Abhinav Shukla, she is now preparing for her next television appearance in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15.

Hosted by Rohit Shetty, the upcoming season is expected to feature several well-known television personalities and digital creators. The stunt-based reality show is anticipated to premiere on Colors TV and JioHotstar later this year, although the official release date has not yet been announced.

Rubina and Abhinav, who married in 2018, also entered a new chapter in their personal lives after welcoming twin daughters, Jeeva and Edhaa, in late 2023.
