The audio circulating on social media reportedly features a voice believed to be Rashmika’s mother, Suman Mandanna, discussing the alleged harassment the actress faced during the period when she was engaged to Rakshit Shetty in 2017.
Reacting to the clip, the actress shared a detailed statement online asking individuals, media outlets, and influencers to remove the content within 24 hours. She said the recording is being circulated without proper context and is being used to fuel unnecessary controversy.
Rashmika wrote that for years she chose to remain silent while criticism was directed at her, but the situation has changed now that her family members are being dragged into the matter.

Actress warns of legal action
Calling the situation a serious invasion of privacy, Rashmika said her legal team would take action against anyone who continues to share the clip.

She added that the material being circulated is misleading and defamatory, and therefore must be removed immediately.
“You have 24 hours from the time of this statement to do so. Failing this, starting tomorrow, appropriate legal action will be initiated. This step is not taken lightly, but it has become necessary,” she concluded.
Background of the relationship
Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty got engaged in 2017 after working together in the Kannada film Kirik Party. However, the couple announced their separation in 2018.
The actress has since moved forward in her personal and professional life and continues to be one of the most prominent stars in Indian cinema.
