Dhurandhar: The Revenge Nears $2 Million in US Advance Booking

The upcoming action spectacle Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is creating massive buzz overseas ahead of its release.

The film is closing in on $2 million in advance bookings in the United States, setting a new benchmark for Bollywood pre-sales in the region.

As of the end of Sunday, the film has reportedly accumulated around $1.70 million in advance ticket sales across theatres in the US.

Highest Ever Pre-Sales for a Bollywood Film

With these numbers, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has already surpassed the previous Bollywood record held by Jawan, which had registered approximately $1.50 million in pre-sales in the United States.

Trade projections suggest the film could cross the $2 million mark by Tuesday, with several days of advance booking still remaining before release.

If the current trend continues, industry observers believe the film could potentially reach $3–4 million in pre-sales.

Strong Sales Across Premiere and Weekend Shows

The film’s advance sales have been spread across multiple days:

• Wednesday premiere: about $650,000
• Thursday opening day: around $275,000
• Friday and Saturday: each exceeding $300,000

A major spike in ticket sales was recorded on Saturday following the release of the film’s trailer, which boosted bookings by nearly 40 percent.

Sunday continued the momentum with an additional $250,000 added to the advance total.

Competing With Top Indian Film Records

The biggest advance bookings for Indian films in the United States currently belong to blockbuster titles like Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, RRR, and Kalki 2898 AD, each of which crossed $4 million in pre-sales.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is now expected to join this elite list, with the possibility of approaching similar numbers.

Lower Ticket Prices, Higher Ticket Sales

Interestingly, the film’s advance bookings are being sold at standard ticket prices of around $14–15, which is significantly lower than the premium rates used by previous record holders.

Films like Baahubali 2, RRR, and Kalki 2898 AD had average ticket prices close to $30 for premiere shows and above $20 for weekend screenings.

Because of this difference, even if Dhurandhar: The Revenge reaches similar gross figures, its ticket sales could be 50–75 percent higher.

$10 Million Opening Weekend in Sight

Given the current pace of bookings, trade experts believe the film could potentially achieve an extended opening weekend of around $10 million in the US market.

Notably, only three Bollywood films have crossed the $10 million mark in the United States during their entire theatrical run. If the projections hold true, Dhurandhar: The Revenge could reach that milestone within its opening weekend itself.
