Advance bookings for Dhurandhar: The Revenge opened in India today at 11 AM, and the response has been extremely strong.
Within just nine hours of sales, the film had already sold over one lakh tickets, indicating massive interest among audiences. The sequel stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role and continues the story from the blockbuster Dhurandhar.
By 8 PM, early booking figures suggested the film was already approaching ₹5 crore in net advance revenue, a number expected to cross the mark shortly after.
Strong Contribution from National Chains
Major cinema chains PVR INOX and Cinepolis have played a key role in the early sales momentum.

Industry observers note that this level of advance demand places the film in a strong position even before its release.
Eyeing Stree 2’s Preview Record
Currently, Stree 2 holds the record for the highest paid preview collection for a Bollywood film, with ₹8.75 crore net.
At the present pace, Dhurandhar: The Revenge could potentially surpass that record within the first 24 hours of ticket sales — well ahead of its theatrical release date.
While trade analysts expected the film to perform strongly, the speed of its advance booking growth has surprised many.

Multiplexes across the country have already allocated significant screen capacity to the film.
In multiplexes with two to four screens, the last two shows of the day are reportedly dedicated exclusively to the film. Larger multiplexes with six to ten screens are reserving most of their evening slots for it while keeping only one or two screens for other titles.
Currently, around 6,000 shows are available for booking. This number is expected to increase to over 8,000 shows, and could even approach 10,000 shows closer to release.

Preview Collections Could Cross ₹30–40 Crore
If the current pace continues, industry estimates indicate that the film’s paid previews alone could cross ₹30 crore net, with some projections suggesting the number may even approach ₹40 crore.
However, the film’s long runtime of nearly four hours could affect the scheduling of shows. Each screening is expected to last around 4.5 to 5 hours, meaning late-night shows could start around 10 PM or later.
While such late timings might impact occupancy in smaller cities, metropolitan markets are expected to maintain strong attendance.
Strong Momentum Ahead of Release
With advance bookings already nearing the ₹10 crore net mark expected soon, the film still has more than ten days left before release, giving it ample time to build even stronger pre-sales momentum.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is scheduled to release in cinemas during the Eid holiday period, traditionally considered a lucrative window for Bollywood releases.
