Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has purchased a 2.67-acre land parcel in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, for ₹35 crore, according to a statement from real estate firm House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL).
The transaction was executed on Friday by Rajesh Yadav, Managing Director of AB Corp Ltd, the production and investment company associated with Bachchan.
Land located near luxury Sarayu development
The newly acquired land is situated close to HoABL’s 75-acre luxury plotted development project, ‘The Sarayu’ in Ayodhya.
This purchase marks Bachchan’s third investment in Ayodhya through HoABL and his fourth real estate investment linked to the developer overall.

Previous investment in Alibaug project
Apart from Ayodhya, Bachchan has also invested in HoABL’s ‘Sol de Alibaug’ project, where he acquired a 10,000-square-foot plot.
Commenting on the latest transaction, Abhinandan Lodha, Chairman of HoABL, said the investment reflects confidence in land as a long-term asset.
He stated that Bachchan’s investment highlights a shared belief in land ownership as an inter-generational asset that preserves value over time, adding that Ayodhya is increasingly being viewed as an attractive destination for long-term investment.

Lodha noted that ongoing infrastructure development and public investment are helping transform Ayodhya into a promising location for property buyers and investors.
