Indian Social Media Influencer Nancy Grewal Fatally Stabbed in Canada, Police Launch Homicide Investigation

Indian-origin social media influencer Nancy Grewal was fatally stabbed at her residence in Canada, according to authorities. The incident is currently under investigation by the LaSalle Police Service.

Police said emergency services responded to a report of a stabbing shortly before 9:30 p.m. on March 3, 2026, at a home located in the 2400 block of Todd Lane in LaSalle.

Officers discovered a 45-year-old woman with serious injuries at the scene. She was rushed by Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Authorities confirmed that the case is being treated as a homicide investigation, and the suspect has not yet been identified.

In a statement posted on social media, police said:

“Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on March 3, 2026, emergency services responded to the 2400 block of Todd Lane for a report of a stabbing. A 45-year-old female was located with injuries. She was transported by Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.”

Investigators added that the victim’s identity would initially be withheld until family members were formally notified.

Police also confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and that residents may notice an increased police presence in the Todd Lane area while officers gather evidence.

Authorities are currently requesting surveillance footage and information from nearby residents to assist in the investigation.

Nancy Grewal was known online as a Punjabi-origin social media influencer and YouTuber. She frequently shared commentary on political and social issues related to the Punjabi community.

Her posts often sparked debate, particularly due to her criticism of several political figures, including Amritpal Singh and Bikram Singh Majithia. She had also commented on religious leadership, including Gurinder Singh Dhillon.

Grewal had previously spoken about the death of another influencer, Kanchan Kumari, whose body was discovered in Bathinda in June 2025.

She had also been vocal regarding tensions between India and Canada, often expressing criticism of Khalistani groups on her social media platforms.

The motive behind the attack on Grewal remains unclear as investigators continue their probe.
