Actor Athiya Shetty recently made a heartfelt visit to Mangalore with her husband, cricketer KL Rahul, and their daughter Ivara. Though the couple resides in Mumbai, Athiya continues to stay closely connected to her roots.
Daughter of veteran actor Suniel Shetty, Athiya has often spoken about her strong bond with her hometown. This time, the visit carried added significance as the couple brought along their baby girl for a spiritual and family-filled trip.
Temple Visit and Ancestral Home Moments
As part of their visit, the family sought blessings at the revered Kukke Subramanya Temple. Athiya later shared glimpses from the temple visit on social media, including a photo of the sacred premises and the traditional ‘anna prasad’ offered to devotees.
Apart from the darshan, the couple spent quiet moments at their ancestral home. The trip appeared to be a blend of devotion and nostalgia, with Athiya posting pictures capturing the simplicity of coastal life.

The family also enjoyed time by the beach in Mangalore, introducing their daughter to the serene coastline. Athiya’s social media posts reflected peaceful countryside visuals — raw mangoes being plucked from a tree, a spacious courtyard, a traditional Tulsi katta, and even chickens wandering freely.
Captioning one of her posts, she wrote, “Forever connected to this soil,” expressing how deeply rooted she feels to her hometown despite living away.
A Special Time for the Family
Athiya and Rahul welcomed their daughter, Ivara, on March 24 last year. As their little one approaches her first birthday, the couple’s temple visit appears to mark a meaningful family milestone.
The visit also highlighted the couple’s continued focus on balancing public life with private family traditions.

Athiya made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with the film Hero. After appearing in a handful of projects, her last on-screen role was in 2019, following which she stepped away from films.
