Mrunal Thakur Opens Up About Ex-Boyfriend’s Insecurity During Early Bollywood Days

Pan-India actress Mrunal Thakur recently shared a candid personal story while promoting her upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein. During an appearance on a digital talk show, the actress reflected on how a former partner struggled with insecurity when she began working alongside major Bollywood stars.

“He Thought I Was Surrounded by Good-Looking Men”

Mrunal revealed that in the early phase of her career, she was filming projects with established actors like Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor. She worked with Hrithik in Super 30 and later starred opposite Shahid in Jersey.

According to the actress, her then Scandinavian boyfriend assumed she was constantly surrounded by attractive co-stars. This perception reportedly led him to begin an intense fitness transformation, resulting in a weight loss of nearly 15–17 kilograms.

However, Mrunal clarified that she never pressured him to change himself. “It was his insecurity,” she indicated, adding that she never demanded a partner with a certain physique.

Career Focus and Long-Distance Perspective

The actress also mentioned that she prefers long-distance relationships, as they allow her to remain focused on her professional commitments. Over time, her former partner reportedly stopped maintaining the fitness routine and gained weight again, admitting he felt exhausted trying to “catch up.”

Mrunal’s honesty about vulnerability and personal growth resonated strongly with fans, especially as she continues to build a diverse portfolio across industries.

Upcoming Projects

Mrunal will next be seen in Do Deewane Seher Mein, a romantic drama co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi. The film is scheduled for theatrical release in 2026.

She is also set to appear in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, directed by David Dhawan, alongside Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde.

Additionally, she has the suspense thriller Dacoit opposite Adivi Sesh, which is expected to release later this year.
