Mrunal Thakur Says Wedding ‘On the Cards’ After Dismissing Dhanush Rumours

Mrunal Thakur has clarified that marriage is indeed part of her future plans — but only on her terms. Speaking to PTI, the actor shared that while a wedding is “on the cards,” she is waiting for the right person before making any announcements.

Her statement comes shortly after she dismissed speculation linking her romantically to Dhanush.

“I Will Announce It Myself,” Says Mrunal

Addressing questions about her personal life, Mrunal said she intends to get married someday.

“Yes, wedding is on the cards. Whenever the right day, the right time, and the right person walks into my life, I will be the first one to announce it on my social networking sites,” she said.

She emphasized that modern relationships are built differently compared to earlier generations.

“Earlier, people might have had different reasons to get married. Today, people marry because they genuinely want to and because they have found the right person,” she added, underlining the importance of emotional compatibility over societal expectations.

Shutting Down Dhanush Wedding Speculation

Recent reports had suggested that Mrunal was secretly dating Dhanush and planning to marry him on February 14. The rumours quickly gained traction online.

However, in an earlier interaction with Galatta Plus, she firmly denied the claims.

“Me? No. I think 14th February is going to be 1st April — April Fools’ Day. I don’t know who started this. I was quoted for something I never said. It’s scary,” she remarked.

While the two actors were occasionally seen at public events — including the wrap-up gathering of Tere Ishk Mein and a film premiere appearance — neither confirmed any romantic relationship.

On the professional front, Mrunal is gearing up for the release of Do Deewane Seher Main, opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi.

Directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali along with Zee Studios, the romantic drama is described as an “imperfectly perfect” love story. The film follows Shashank and Roshni as they navigate a layered and emotionally complex relationship.

The movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 20.
