Actor Malavika Mohanan has addressed the online chatter surrounding her action sequences in The Raja Saab after behind-the-scenes visuals showed a male stunt artist dressed in a pink crop top and shorts, reportedly serving as her body double.
The images sparked humorous reactions on social media, with some questioning earlier claims that she performed her own stunts in the film.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Malavika shared BTS clips of herself performing action scenes and clarified her stance.
“Been seeing a lot of tweets and articles about how I claimed to do my own stunts for ‘The Rajasaab’ but a body double did it as there’s a photo circulating online of a stunt artist who was my stunt double on the film,” she wrote.
‘Certain Shots Are Too Risky’
Explaining the role of stunt professionals on film sets, Malavika emphasised that action directors always keep trained doubles available, even when actors perform most of their stunts.

“In the case of certain shots when they feel it’s too risky for the actor to do it — they feel it’s better for a professional to execute the shot so you’re not doing anything too risky without knowing how to do it correctly,” she added.
Malavika also described herself as someone who enjoys physically challenging roles, calling herself a “sporty girl” who loves learning new skills.
She concluded by thanking her stunt double for helping her execute the sequences properly.
