Neha Dhupia Says Roadies Drama Is Strictly On-Camera: “Off Screen, We’re Quite Friendly”

MTV Roadies may be known for its fiery confrontations, heated arguments, and intense rivalries, but according to Neha Dhupia, much of that drama stays firmly in front of the camera. The actor and former gang leader recently revealed that despite the emotional clashes viewers witness on screen, the bond between the gang leaders off screen is largely cordial and friendly.

In an interview with Screen Spotlight, Neha opened up about her experience returning to Roadies XX: Double Cross and working alongside fellow gang leaders Prince Narula, Rhea Chakraborty, and newcomer Elvish Yadav.

“Emotions Run High, But It Settles Quickly”

Addressing the frequent confrontations seen on the show, Neha clarified that while the competition naturally intensifies emotions during shoots, there’s no lingering tension once filming wraps up.

“Everyone is fiercely competitive,” she said, adding that arguments often cool down soon after the cameras stop rolling. “On most days, we’re all cordial once we’re off set.”

Reuniting With Rhea Chakraborty

Speaking about sharing screen space with Rhea Chakraborty, who joined the show during Neha’s break, the actor described their reunion as smooth and uneventful.

“It was okay. I’ve known her socially,” Neha said, indicating that there was no awkwardness or friction behind the scenes.

By the time Neha returned to the show, Prince Narula and Rhea had already formed a strong on-screen alignment, while Elvish Yadav’s entry added an unexpected dynamic to the mix.

From Unknown to Alliance: Neha on Elvish Yadav

Neha admitted that she initially knew very little about Elvish Yadav, who joined the show as a gang leader this season. However, as filming progressed, she began to understand his personality and approach to the game.

“I never expected an alliance with him,” she shared, adding that their collaboration eventually happened organically and turned out to be “fun.” She also stressed that the alliances and rivalries on Roadies are not scripted or pre-planned.

“None of it is planned. It all happens naturally,” she explained.

A Special Season for Roadies Fans

The 20th season, Roadies XX: Double Cross, holds particular significance for fans as it marked Neha Dhupia’s return as a gang leader along with the comeback of longtime host Rannvijay Singha, who had previously stepped away from the franchise.

The season has been praised for its mix of old-school Roadies intensity and fresh personalities, keeping audiences hooked.
