Mumbai, January 28, 2026 – Actor-model Meera Chopra has stepped into production with her upcoming film Gandhi Talks, directed by KP Belekar. In a recent interview, she opened up about her career, her journey into producing, and her close-knit relationship with cousin Priyanka Chopra.
Meera on Bollywood and Her Career
Speaking with Galatta India, Meera reflected on her years in the film industry, describing Bollywood as a place of “constant struggle.” She admitted that she is still carving out her identity and working hard to make her mark as both an actor and producer.
“Bollywood has always been a space where you need to keep proving yourself. I am still trying to make a name for myself, and now producing feels like a natural step in my journey,” Meera said.
Priyanka Chopra: The Family Support System
Meera lauded Priyanka Chopra for being a pillar of support for the family, both personally and professionally.
“Priyanka is somebody who stands very strongly with her entire family. She has supported us no matter how big she has become. I honestly feel that Priyanka has outgrown herself. She isn’t just an individual – she’s a movement,” Meera said.

Kept Gandhi Talks a Secret
When asked if Priyanka Chopra was aware of Gandhi Talks before the announcement, Meera revealed that she hadn’t shared the news with anyone except her husband and investors.
“No, she didn’t know I was doing this. Nobody knew — not even my friends or family. I am a very secretive person, and I am very superstitious. I think that nazar lag jaati hai (bad omen), and I think that there are a lot of people in this industry who don’t want you to do well. People get to know about my work on the announcement date, and she got to know about this when it was announced,” she said.
