Social media influencer and Ramayana actress Anjali Arora’s boyfriend, Akash Sansanwal, has been arrested by the Meerut Police after he was allegedly caught using a fake MP/MLA sticker on his car during heightened Republic Day security checks.

The incident occurred at the Kashi Toll Plaza on the Delhi–Meerut Expressway, where police were conducting routine inspections ahead of January 26 celebrations.

According to police officials, Akash Sansanwal was driving a black Scorpio SUV bearing a sticker that falsely indicated affiliation with a Member of Parliament or Member of Legislative Assembly.

• Sansanwal allegedly misrepresented his identity to bypass security checks

Following confirmation, police arrested Sansanwal on charges of impersonation and forgery, and the SUV was seized as evidence.

Officials stated that Sansanwal allegedly attempted to evade police questioning at the toll plaza but was swiftly detained by a team led by senior officers stationed at the checkpoint.
