Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab is facing a tough run at the box office as its collections continue to decline steadily. Directed by Maruthi, the horror-comedy was released in theatres on January 9, but the initial buzz surrounding the film faded quickly after its opening day.
Despite high expectations, the film failed to impress audiences, leading to a sharp drop in footfalls within the first week.

On Day 6 (Wednesday), The Raja Saab managed to collect ₹3.9 crore at the Indian box office. With this, the film’s total domestic net collection stands at approximately ₹123.3 crore after six days of release.
Trade analysts note that weekday performance has been particularly weak, indicating limited word-of-mouth support.

- Pre-sales: ₹9.15 crore
- Opening Day: ₹53.75 crore
- Day 2: ₹26.6 crore
- Day 3: ₹19.1 crore

- First Tuesday: ₹4.8 crore
- Day 6: ₹3.9 crore
The downward trend has raised concerns about the film’s long-term box office sustainability.
Worldwide Collection and Budget Concerns
Globally, The Raja Saab has earned around ₹175 crore so far. However, with a reported production budget of nearly ₹450 crore, the film is yet to recover even half of its total cost.
Given its lukewarm response during working days, trade experts believe that recovering the full budget may prove extremely challenging unless there is an unexpected surge over the weekend.
