Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar took to social media to celebrate a special moment in his family—his niece Simar Bhatia making her Bollywood debut with the upcoming film Ikkis. Sharing a heartfelt message, Akshay reflected on watching Simar grow from a shy child into a confident young woman ready for the silver screen.
On Tuesday, Akshay posted the film’s first poster featuring Simar and wrote:
“Holding you as a tiny baby to now seeing you step into films… life truly comes full circle. Simar, I’ve watched you transform from a shy little girl hiding behind your mom into a confident young woman ready to face the camera like it was always meant for you.”

About Ikkis
Ikkis is a biographical war-drama based on Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Indian Army officer to be posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery during the 1971 Battle of Basantar. The film stars Agastya Nanda as Arun, with veteran actor Dharmendra making his final on-screen appearance as Arun’s father, Brigadier M. L. Khetarpal.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Maddock Films, the movie also features Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikander Kher in key supporting roles.
