Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal Not Getting Married on December 7; Wedding Still Postponed, Confirms Family

New social media claims suggesting that cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palaash Muchhal will marry on December 7 have been denied by the cricketer’s family. According to her relatives, the wedding remains postponed after the ceremony scheduled in Sangli was cancelled on the morning of November 23. The decision was taken when Mandhana’s father suffered a sudden medical emergency and had to be taken to the hospital.

Soon after the incident, Palaash also became unwell due to stress and required medical attention, including IV support. Following the cancellation, a wave of online speculation began. Alleged chat screenshots involving Palaash and another woman circulated widely, prompting unverified cheating rumours. Many users also pointed out that Smriti removed some engagement posts, intensifying the gossip.

Fresh reports claiming that the couple would now marry on December 7 disappointed fans and created further confusion. Some online reactions even questioned whether the controversy was part of a publicity strategy. Despite the rumours, no official confirmation came from either side, leading to public frustration.

Smriti Mandhana’s brother, Shravan Mandhana, has now clarified that there is no new wedding date. He stated that the family is unaware of any plan for a December ceremony and confirmed that the wedding remains on hold.

Meanwhile, Palaash Muchhal’s mother, Amita Muchhal, said that both families will return to wedding preparations once Smriti and Palaash recover emotionally from recent events. She expressed confidence that the marriage will still take place, mentioning that both families had been deeply affected by the sudden medical scares.

According to her, the cancellation was prompted by Palaash, who is emotionally close to Smriti’s father and felt the wedding should not continue until he had fully recovered. She added that he made this decision even before Smriti did.

Smriti’s father has since returned home, and medical examinations reportedly showed no major concerns. Despite his recovery, both families have confirmed that the wedding is still postponed for now.
