Krystle D’Souza Reacts to Replacing Tamannaah Bhatia in Dhurandhar Song ‘Shararat’: “Let Us Shine”

Mumbai — Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar continues its strong run at the box office, while its music album remains at the top of the charts. Among all the songs, ‘Shararat’, sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas, has emerged as the breakout favourite, with fans praising the high-energy performance of Krystle D’Souza and Ayesha Khan.

However, the massive popularity of the track also sparked a wave of online speculation. Several reports claimed that Tamannaah Bhatia was initially the first choice for the song and was later replaced by Krystle D’Souza. The chatter intensified after comments made by the song’s choreographer Vijay Ganguly were widely misinterpreted.

Ganguly later clarified that although Tamannaah’s name may have been discussed, she was never officially approached for the song. Despite this, Krystle continued to face repeated questions — until now.

In an interview with The Free Press Journal, Krystle finally addressed the controversy with remarkable grace and honesty.

“Honestly, I did see it, and I felt she would have killed it in her own way. She would have owned it. Approached or not approached, I’m sure she would have nailed it. There’s no way she wouldn’t have killed it.”

She went on to add that the narrative of replacement is unnecessary and damaging:

“If Ayesha was alone in the song, she would have killed it. If I was alone, I would have killed it. Everyone does what they do best. I will never take away from anyone who is hardworking, self-made, and consistent. She’s doing big things, and she’s going to do even bigger things.”

Krystle strongly urged fans and social media users to stop comparing women and creating unhealthy rivalries.

“There’s enough sun for everyone. Everyone needs to shine — like Ranveer Singh, let us shine. To bring somebody up, you don’t need to bring others down. Please don’t tear another person apart because you don’t know how mentally it can affect someone.”

Will Krystle Return in Dhurandhar 2?

Krystle has also been repeatedly asked whether she will be part of Dhurandhar 2, but she continues to remain tight-lipped. Her cryptic responses have only fueled curiosity among fans.

The sequel to Dhurandhar is scheduled to release in March 2026. The first installment starred Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles and became one of the year’s biggest box-office successes.
