Bigg Boss 19 wrapped up on December 7 with Gaurav Khanna lifting the trophy, while Tanya Mittal secured the fourth position. From the moment she entered the BB19 house, Tanya found herself at the centre of a heated debate — many contestants and viewers accused her of faking her luxurious lifestyle. The “fake” tag followed her both inside and outside the house, becoming one of the biggest talking points of the season.
Now, in an exclusive interview with Zoom, Tanya Mittal has opened up about the emotional toll these accusations took on her.
Speaking in Hindi, she revealed, “I don’t even remember the number of bad names I’ve been called. After going through so much, if you still don’t give up, then the real question is — how am I still surviving? Even I wondered if I wasn’t tired of crying.”
Tanya recalled a recent emotional conversation with a fellow housemate. “Yesterday, I was speaking to one of the contestants and told him, ‘Sir, if I go home tomorrow and get even a little respect — like the way my brother touched my feet — I will cry. Because I have been insulted so much.’ Every single day, I was called a fake person.”

Add Hunterfly on GoogleShe shared that the constant questioning about her authenticity eventually made her feel deeply humiliated. “Everyone asks the same thing — are you fake or not? Now people even want me to upload a video of my house. You want me to show a lift just to prove I am not lying? How small do you want someone to feel? The way I felt small… I don’t think anyone should ever have to experience that.”
Tanya’s honest admission sheds light on the pressure reality show contestants face, especially when their personal lives become public targets.
