Who Is Aditi Sharma? TV Actress Files Domestic Violence Complaint Against Husband and In-Laws

Television actress Aditi Sharma, known for her performances in Apollena, Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka!, and Kaleerein, has filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband Abhineet Kaushik and his family.

According to reports, an FIR was registered on July 31, 2026, at Goregaon Police Station in Mumbai. The complaint names Abhineet Kaushik, his mother Urmila Kaushik (65) and his sister Kirti Kaushik (29).

Mumbai Police have initiated an investigation based on the complaint. At this stage, the allegations remain under investigation and have not been proven in a court of law.

What Does the Complaint Allege?

According to the FIR, Aditi Sharma has accused the three of:

• Domestic violence
• Physical and mental harassment
• Assault
• Verbal abuse
• Questioning her character
• Misuse and non-return of her stridhan (bridal jewellery)

The complaint alleges that these incidents occurred during the course of her marriage.

The marriage remained private until media reports about their relationship surfaced months later.

Allegations Against Her Husband

In her complaint, Aditi alleged that her husband’s behaviour changed after their wedding.

According to the FIR, she claimed that:

• Frequent disagreements began shortly after marriage.
• An argument in 2025 escalated into verbal abuse.
• Abhineet allegedly became suspicious and frequently checked her mobile phone.
• He allegedly accused her of having an affair.
• She was allegedly prevented from communicating freely with her parents.

These allegations form part of the ongoing police investigation.

Jewellery Dispute Mentioned in FIR

Aditi also alleged that her mother-in-law retained her bridal jewellery, including:

• Gold chains
• Gold rings
• Diamond ring
• Mangalsutra
• Bangles

According to her complaint, the jewellery was not returned despite repeated requests.

The police are examining these claims as part of the investigation.

Earlier Public Dispute

The couple’s relationship has remained in the public eye since 2025.

Earlier reports included allegations made by Abhineet Kaushik regarding actor Samarthya Gupta. At the time, Aditi publicly denied the allegations against her.

Abhineet had also made public statements claiming that disputes arose regarding the validity of the marriage and that he had received threats following the disagreement.

Those claims were made by him previously and remain separate from the allegations currently being investigated by Mumbai Police.

The Goregaon Police are investigating all allegations mentioned in the FIR.
