Rhiya Ahir Files Police Complaint Alleging Online Abuse After Viral Mumbai Protest Video

Model, actor and entrepreneur Rhiya Ahir has approached the police after allegedly receiving abusive messages and offensive comments on social media following the circulation of a viral video from a student protest in Mumbai.

Ahir said she supports open discussion and differing opinions but believes criticism should never extend to harassment, intimidation or defamatory remarks.

The complaint comes days after her appearance at a public demonstration drew widespread attention online.
